In a world where information is delivered in 30 second sound bites or 15 second video clips it can be challenging to communicate complicated subjects without losing someone’s interest. In the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell treatments this poses a serious issue as the advancements and opportunities for healing that our field offers are often drowned out in the noise of bombastic marketing. Auragens has watched viral clips of other facilities asking questions such as “will stem cells regrow a thumb?” (Spoiler: They won’t). Or we read advertisements of a patented cell lines being offered (Another Spoiler: Biologics cannot be patented). And we see salespeople for clinics “closing” patients by explaining that they use Hypoxic cells (Final Spoiler: Nearly all hu-MSC product are done in a hypoxic setting.)  While the statements or questions are not incorrect, per se, they can certainly be construed as misleading.

Auragens pays close attention to the messaging and advertisements presented to a global audience and tries to remain true to our mission of educating while never taking a short cut for quick attention. Quite the opposite, we relish the opportunity to truly engage and spend the time needed to set realistic expectations and explain the science behind our work. Because of the abundance of advertising and sales in the world of regenerative medicine we exercise extreme caution to remain overly transparent.

For Auragens the mission is to create a consistent product to produce expected results. To allow stem cell treatments to be regulated, reviewed, and accepted as a standard of care. This requires us to approach the business side of our medicine very differently. We operate from a position of evidence-based outcomes and protocols based on proper diagnosis. This allows us to provide proper care and follow up to benefit the industry and the world at large. Everyone needs to remember that while stem cell treatments still fall under the “elective procedure” category, it is still a medical procedure. And one that requires serious thought and attention, as an individual is entrusting their health and well-being to the facility they attend. As the patient is turned into a number, or a profit center, it diminishes the incredible power these procedures have and relegates regenerative medicine to the fridges of acceptance.

All of this is to say, dear reader, Auragens encourages your questions and curiosity. The more we can teach our patients the better they can explain their positive results to their friends and family.  And the better understood stem cell treatments are, the less effective these provocative sounds bite and click bait become. And as that noise fades away it allows our science to replace the Pseudoscience. It enables the massive potential and benefits of stem cell treatments to be received by a much larger population. And ultimately it allows acceptance and oversight to ensure that all stem cell clinics, facilities, and centers are held to a minimum standard and ensure patient safety.

In sum the above is our answer to the questions: Why do you require a medical consultation? Why do you publish so frequently? Why bother traveling the world to present at conferences? Why so much research? We are Auragens because we are the beginning. Tomorrow starts here today. Combining over 100 years’ worth of experience under our roof to merge pre-clinical, clinical, science, and academia to create best patient results and forge the path for global access to consistent, quality care.

As always, and with great appreciation and anticipation, we standby to answer your questions.
